More time for choosing fabrics

A quilt project involves a lot of measurements. These tools keep the finished quilt dimensions in one place, show the calculations in a diagram and create a printable project sheet you can take to the fabric shop.

You can compare backing orientations, switch between inches and centimetres, or start with a block grid and use its finished dimensions for the other calculators. No account or payment is required.

Clear assumptions, visible limits

Backing uses equal-length full-width panels and includes the seam allowances you enter. Binding uses straight-grain strips and accounts for diagonal joins. Block layouts use equal square blocks and an optional border, without sashing.

These are planning estimates. They do not replace your quilt pattern, measurements or a longarm quilter’s requirements. Shrinkage, print matching, squaring-up allowances, border yardage and internal patchwork fabric need separate consideration.
